Welcome to the team Kayle Elliott!! Rocky Mountain Counseling Services is thrilled to have Kayle Elliott join the team as a new intern for the 2020-2021 year. Kayle is a UCD candidate and will be working with individuals, children and teens, as well as families. Kayle’s services will be deeply discounted and she will be offering sliding scale services during this training period.
Kayle chose to become a therapist because to her, there is nothing more meaningful than walking alongside others on their journey towards healing and fulfillment. Her passion is to help others navigate the unknowns of change and transition, discover their strengths, develop and strengthen meaningful relationships, and reconnect with their authentic selves. As a mindfulness-based psychotherapist, Kayle incorporates mind-body practices and holistic approaches in her work. She has experience working individually and in groups with anxiety, depression, life transition, addiction, eating disorders, and grief. Kayle’s approach to therapy is warm, authentic, and supportive and she aims to provide a non-judgmental space in which she can meet her clients right where they are. Outside of internship and work, Kayle enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, and yoga.
Kayle also has extensive experience working with eating disorders and is currently a Behavioral Health Counselor at The Eating Recovery Center in Denver.” Kayle works with families and children/teens with eating disorders and helps them find a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. She works holistically with the whole family to bring a healthier relationship within the family unit, not just the individual.
Kayle has recently co-facilitated the Online Support and Mindfulness Training Group this summer. She has a passion for working with groups and additionally co-facilitates groups at the Eating Recovery Center in Denver. Kayle will be facilitating the Children of Divorce, Girls’ Empowerment, and Teen/Young Adult support groups in the fall.
