Online Support and Mindfulness Group for Older Teens and Young Adults Summer 2020
Who: Ages 17-20
What: Support group to help teens/young adults talk about their experience with COVID, and how it has affected their lives. Learn mindfulness skills to manage the stress and uncertainty during these unprecedented times.
Benefits: The online support group allows teens/young adults to connect safely online with their peers and learn valuable skills for managing anxiety and stress with mindfulness training.
When: A six-week group meeting weekly on Thursdays from 11 am-12:15 pm starting on June 18th, 2020, and running until July 23rd, 2020.
Skills learned: Tools for integrating mindfulness into your daily life, simple meditation exercises you can add to your toolbox; learn distress tolerance, cognitive defusion, and other emotional regulation skills.
Cost: $275.00 for the six-week session. Early bird pricing, $25.00 off if paid by June 12th.
Trainers: Monica Ramunda, MA, LPC, LCMHC, RPT-S is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with families and teens. Monica has received additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and meditation. Kayle Elliott, is an intern, currently working towards her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado. Kayle has years of training curating mindfulness-based experiences including meditation, breathwork, and yoga classes for others as well as Reiki-certified meditation instruction.
